The Rock (2049)

The Rock

The Rock is the only returning track in San Francisco Rush 2049. Following its debut in San Francisco Rush the Rock: Alcatraz Edition, this rendition takes place after sunset, with a new starting position, terrain changes, and new shortcut near the shoreline. As with all Rush 2049 tracks, player can now collect coins hidden throughout the track, which was not possible in Rush The Rock.

Track Layout

The race starts behind a large patch of dirt road underneath a corkscrew loop shortcut; drivers are given the choice to take either path. After the first section, the road branchs into a higher and lower left bend that takes drivers to the Barracks and Dock section. This section has a long stretch of road, as well as a high and low shortcut on the left and right sides respectively. Once all of the paths meet up, drivers will take a banked right turn above water, that will take them above the island. another long stretch of road follows, with the choice to take a dark sewer shortcut on the right. If that shortcut is not taken however, drivers have to make a hard left turn shortly after, which takes the driver to a large jump over the prison. After the jump, the race concludes with two banked left turns that take the driver to the starting line.

Coin Locations

The Rock does not have a location tracker on the bottom left when playing. The coins are listed in approximate order from the starting line.

Corkscrew - 20 coins

• 20 coins in a straight line from the start of the corkscrew shortcut until the end.

Barracks - 20 coins

• 7 coins in a triangular formation behind the barracks on ground-level.
• 7 coins tucked behind a wall on the second Barracks rooftop. Take the upper road and veer to the left to drive on top of the Barracks. Drive passed the 3 yellow arrow signs and drop down to the next rooftop. From here, turn around to find the coins in a line against the barracks wall.
• 6 coins in a line on the second barracks rooftop, right after the dropping down the first rooftop.

The Docks - 8 coins

• 7 coins in a line on the right side shortly after entering the Docks shortcut.
• 1 coin in at the very end of the docks shortcut.

Prison - 32 coins

• 5 coins in a line at the very end of The Lighthouse Loop on the right side of the prison, ground floor.
• 10 coins in a line behind the wall of cells on the right visible after taking loop, ground floor.
• 1 coin in the back right corner of the prison, ground floor.
• 8 coins in a line behind the set of vents on the right side, rooftop.
• 8 coins in a line behind the further set of vents on the left side, rooftop.

Sewer Shortcut - 20 coins

• 1 coin halfway into the entrance to the tunnel shortcut.
• 6 coins in a line at the base of the lightbulb-shaped section of the shortcut.
• 10 coins in a line along the left wall after turning around from the lightbulb-shaped section.
• 3 coins in a stacked line at the very end of the tunnel shortcut.

Unobtainable coin - Prison

• On the left side behind bars at the very start of the prison entrance, ground floor.
