Track 1

Morning

Morning is the first track in Rush 2049 (CoinOp.) This track is the only one with the attributed difficulty of 'Novice,' as such it serves as an introductory to the mechanics the player will be learning and refining as they race more difficult tracks. Notably it is the shortest track in the game (including tracks introduced in Tournament Edition,) and features the "Lombard Jump" a series staple since the first entry, San Francisco Rush. This track would later be altered and repurposed for the Home ports of Rush 2049, and given the name 'Marina.' These changes include an additional road to the left of Lombard Street for a new backward route, and the removal of several coin locations.

Track Layout

Morning starts on Marina Boulevard followed by a 180 degree left turn that takes the driver to Lombard Street. Immediately following several intersections is the Lombard Street's crooked road; a steep, unconventional road accompanied by a trolley that the player will swiftly drive over. After the jump, the player will take several right turns in quick succession that takes the driver to Market Street; one of the longest stretches of road in the game. After a narrow right turn the driver will be placed on Van Ness Avenue; a long stretch like the previous road, but downhill with a couple of opportunities for airtime. The lap comes to an end after a descending left bend through Fort Mason that takes the player back to Marina Boulevard.
