Released a year later, San Francisco Rush The Rock: Alcatraz Edition is a content upgrade to the original game.
Differences between SFR and RTR
- Four new tracks, four new cars, and a new song are included.
- The track selection screen has been rearranged to accompany the extra tracks.
- View 1 is pushed to cycle through cars, instead of being held to choose the alternative options.
- The track selection song is a remixed version of the one in SFR.
- The race countdown fanfare is different.
- Extra shortcuts have been added to the original three tracks.
